Dan has been with the firm since its inception. His knowledge of the industry, along with his organizational and follow-through skills, has proven to deliver many efficient and cost effective projects. Dan has extensive experience in new construction, renovation, and remodels with expertise in all of the firm's areas of responsibility. He has considerable experience in medical, educational, correctional, and telecommunication facilities.
Bill has over 50 years of experience dating back prior to graduation from North Carolina State University in 1960. He became a Registered Professional Engineer in 1964. While practicing in North Carolina, major credits were the pioneering of direct expansion variable volume systems (The system most commonly used in buildings today), the design of the variable volume fan box, the pioneering of energy management in department stores and being recognized throughout the Eastern United States, constant temperature and humidity labs for the textile industry, designing and building constant temperature units used throughout the United States and many foreign countries, and many other major projects in the South.
After beginning the practice in Nevada, projects have ranged from major hotel casinos, state buildings, educational facilities, libraries, hospitals, geothermal heating systems, evaporative cooled schools and buildings, variable speed pumping systems, ice storage systems, to small retrofits and remodels.
In 1987, Bill received an appointment from former Governor Bryan to the Nevada State Board of Registered Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors. During his 12 years with the Board, he served as the Mechanical Engineering Representative, Vice Chairman, and Chairman. In 1997, he received an appointment to the Nevada Board of Fire Services, serving the maximum terms.
Dan is Vice President of the firm and has been with the firm since its inception. Carl attained his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering at New Mexico State University. He is registered in Nevada and has been with the firm for over 20 years. His involvement has encompassed entire projects from conceptual design through construction administration and has included educational, commercial, industrial, medical, religious, and military facilities.
Rob has been with the firm for over 10 years and has brought with him more than 15 years of experience in the HVAC design-build industry. He has provided for project design and management on educational, airport, correctional, medical, religious, and military facilities.
Carl brought to Petty & Associates considerable experience as a designer in HVAC and plumbing. His involvement has encompassed the entire project from conceptual design through construction administration and has included educational, commercial, industrial, medical, and federal government facilities.
Since joining Petty & Associates, project clients have included the City of Reno, State Public Works, Arrow Electronics, Amazon.com, Nevada National Guard, Washoe County School District, and the Lyon County School District.
Experience prior to joining our firm included such projects as the Desert Hills Elementary School, Alameda Elementary School Addition, University Hills Elementary School Addition, Office Building for Tresco Inc., Peach Lutheran Church Addition, all in Las Cruces, New Mexico; and William Beaumont Hospital Remodel, Bundy Library, Youth Service Center in Ft. Bliss.
Projects include the Reno Community Assistance Center, Nevada Air National Guard Vehicle Maintenance Facility, University of Nevada ICA Academic Center, Washoe County School District Nutrition Services, and Dayton Elementary School.
Rob has been with the firm nearly 10 years and brought with him more than 15 years of experience in the HVAC design-build industry. He has provided for project design and management on educational, airport, correctional, medical, religious, and military.
Eric has provided drafting support for numerous projects since joining Petty & Associates in 2007. Extremely knowledgeable in computer aided design, Eric utilizes Revit software supporting our Building Information Modeling (BIM) projects.
With over 8 years combined with the firm, Leslie is the point person for office manager duties as well as administrative support for project managers. Leslie wears many hats in facilitating the efficient functioning of the office through a range of administrative, clerical, financial, and managerial tasks.
Kent has over 20 combined years of service with the firm and is our representative in the Las Vegas area. His latest projects have been with the Clark County School District as Project Manager overseeing the HVAC Renovations of several elementary, middle & high schools. Kent has over 30 years experience from design to construction and has been involved with projects including retail buildings, medical facilities, restaurants, and gaming establishments.
